BROOKLYN STAND UP!
In this episode, we sit down with stand-up comedian Andre McSween, living out of Brooklyn, New York! We talk about living in a predominantly immigrant neighborhood, while being one of the few American-born residents, AND being mixed. With his father being from Trinidad, and his mother being from Costa Rica, feeling "In the middle" has been a dominant theme throughout his life. He talks about the period trips he took, as a child, to visit family in Costa Rica and how that shaped his sense of identity. It is a great episode, that truly illustrates how biracial individuals can struggle with the feeling of not having "a place."
